Need help at work?

Essex UCU has a team of trained volunteer caseworkers. They provide support, advice and representation on employment-related difficulties — in confidence.

The process

  1. 01Fill in the confidential case form, or email the Casework Coordinator who will send it to you.
  2. 02A local caseworker is arranged to meet you.
  3. 03If you skip this procedure, UCU cannot represent or advise you.
  4. 04Caseworkers are volunteers and as busy as you. You have the right to postpone a disciplinary or grievance meeting until a caseworker can accompany you.

Caseworkers may need to share information with other relevant UCU reps. Discussions with you remain confidential to the union.
